In this paper I analyze the phenomenon of undeclared work. In the beginning, I describe the historical evolution of the institution of social security starting from its first form as funds that used to help each other until today with the creation of various security institutions and the problems that they are facing. I continue my analysis with the undeclared work in Europe and in Greece specifically, I describe the characteristics of illegal workers and the basic factors that define the undeclared work. In conclusion I propose ways to face and control the undeclared work, although it is very difficult to fight this phenomenon that worries the world economy back.
Στην παρούσα εργασία παρουσιάζεται το φαινόμενο της αδήλωτης απασχόλησης. Αρχικά γίνεται αναδρομή στην ιστορική εξέλιξη του θεσμού της κοινωνικής ασφάλισης από την πρώιμη μορφή της ως αλληλοβοηθητικά ταμεία έως σήμερα με τη δημιουργία των διάφορων ασφαλιστικών φορέων καθώς και τα προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζουν. Στη συνέχεια αναλύεται το φαινόμενο της αδήλωτης απασχόλησης στην Ευρώπη και την Ελλάδα, παραθέτονται τα χαρακτηριστικά των αδήλωτων εργαζομένων, οι βασικοί προσδιοριστικοί παράγοντές της και τέλος προτείνονται κάποιοι τρόποι αντιμετώπισής της, αν και η καταπολέμησής της είναι δύσκολη και απασχολεί όλες τις παγκόσμιες οικονομίες.
