Description

Digital Preservation is a multilayered issuewith actions, measures and prerequisitesthat span the technological and organisational domains. Long term digital preservation poses prerequisites and actions that must be designed and implementedearly on the life cycle of digital content, otherwiseinstitutions mayface increasingfuture preservation costsand complexity. Additionallymany institutionsoften don’t have the technical capacity or human and financial resources to deal with the constant maintenance and preservationneeds of their digital assets. (EL)
