Το παρόν άρθρο,  βασισμένο σε εμπειρικό ερευνητικό υλικό που συλλέχθηκε από μακροχρόνια επιτόπια έρευνα σε μια αγροτική κοινότητα, εστιάζει σε ορισμένες από τις βασικές πτυχές των σχέσεων που αναπτύσσονται ‒σε όλα τα στάδια της επιτόπιας έρευνας‒ ανάμεσα στον κοινωνικό ανθρωπολόγο και την υπό παρατήρηση κοινωνία, ανάμεσα τον «παρατηρητή» και τον «παρατηρούμενο», στον «οικείο» και τον «ξένο». Διερευνώντας τη δυναμική των διαπροσωπικών επαφών ανάμεσα στους πρωταγωνιστές της εθνογραφικής έρευνας, επιχειρείται ν’ αναδειχθεί η αξία και η μοναδικότητα που έχει ‒για την κατανόηση ενός διαφορετικού τρόπου ζωής‒ η συμμετοχή «από τα μέσα» του ερευνητή στη συλλογική ζωή της υπό μελέτης κοινωνίας.   (EL)
This article, based on empirical research material collected from long-term on-site research of a rural community, focuses on some of the key aspects of the relationship -in all phases of the field research- between the social anthropologist and the society under observation, between the «observer» and the «the observed», the «familiar» and the «unfamiliar». By investigating the dynamics of interpersonal contacts between the main actors of ethnographic research, the paper, attempts to highlight the value and uniqueness of participating ‘from within’ in the collective life of the studied society in order to understand different ways of living.
