This dissertation was written as part of the MA in Art, Law and Economy at the International Hellenic University. The Creative Europe programme is European Union’s funding programme for culture and media for the period 2014-2020. The programme is designed in line with Europe Strategy 2020 objectives, aiming to foster audiovisual and cultural sectors’ capacity to operate in multinational level, while it also focuses on audience development, circulation of cultural and audiovisual works, as well as, on the mobility of each sector’s professionals. In this paper, the objectives and priorities of the Creative Europe programme, as they are proposed in REGULATION (EU) No 1295/2013 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 11 December 2013 establishing the Creative Europe Programme (2014 to 2020) and repealing Decisions No 1718/2006/EC, No 1855/2006/EC and No 1041/2009/EC OJ L 347/221 are analyzed, along with the four call for proposals that are initiated under the programme’s Cultural Strand.
