Τhe present study traces the convergence of existential philosophical discourse, Christian literature, and Cavafy's poetry in Ζοe Karelli's oeuvre, as distinctive factors of her hypertextual "poiesis tis hypostaseos" (poetry of existence). In this context, her stylistic, thematic, narrative, and generic practices, particularly considered from the aspect of their hypertextual significance, are examined in a number of poems, mostly those in her major poetic books Antitheseis and Hemerologhio, and as thematised in most of her essays.
