The purpose of this exploratory study is to report on the difficulties and perceptions of the students of the Virtual University of Côte d'Ivoire (UVCI) of open and distance learning. To this end, we interviewed those in the license using an online questionnaire. The results show that the majority of them express their dissatisfaction with this teaching model with regard to the perceived difficulties of a technical, pedagogical and social nature. They would nevertheless recommend this type of training for certain advantages that it provides, in particular, being able to reconcile study and professional activity, the privilege of carrying out studies in the digital field, the supposed freedom of time management and the economy of travel related to studies.
